Today is the first day Dodmerb is up and running after two weeks, however, status is completely gone. Any thoughts???

DoDmerb Astigmatism DQ
I am still waiting on the status of my waiver for astigmatism.
The fall semester is nearing fast and this scholarship is my means of paying for my education.
Does anyone have any information on the likeliness of my waiver getting approved
I was DQ'd for Astigmatism exceeding 3.00 diopters
Both my eyes are correctable to 20/20
My astigmatism is at 3.75 and 4.00
Thanks in advanced

DodMerb Stress
Their system has been down for 2.5 weeks. Very stressful when trying to get stuff in and they can't upload anything even if submitted via email. Heading back to school in a week. Once there, next to impossible to get anything else done other than school work, sports and ROTC. Some need answers prior to even going to college. Hope their site is up and running soon.

Surgery Question
I had surgery when I just turned 13 in 2012. It was an Achilles’ tendon lengthening surgery. I am perfectly fine and can walk/run now. The pt test is no issue for me. So I was wondering if I would get DQed for it. Thank you all!

DODMERB Consultants
This is to warn the nice folks on this board who are trying to help their son or daughter to avoid DODMERB Consultants which is run by Dr. Glenn Merchant out of Colorado Springs. My wife spoke to this man regarding our son's waiver request. Dr. Merchant seemed very nice and knowledgeable and he had a reputable-looking website. We sent him money and never heard from him again. For over two months now he has not replied to our e-mails or cell phone voicemail. No one picks up his office...

Website from DODMERB
I have some questions, hopefully this will help people who are confused as well.
1. So I went to both my exams over a month ago.
The DODMETS site wasnt updating so I did some research and made a DODMERB account. It logged me in. On the DODMERB website (not DODMETS) it only says you will be able to log in to it if your exams have been received.
My status reads "Under DODMERB review"
So I called DODMERB to check on the process and they said they havent even received my exams. So i got in...

Dodmerb & Leukemia
Wondering if anyone has experience with the Dodmerb for AROTC that has been a survivor of childhood cancer, specifically ALL. I am aware that you are allowed to serve if you have not had any cancer treatment/been cancer free for the past 5 years, but that is all I know.I am beginning the dodmerb process soon, any information anyone has on the disease and how Dodmerb handles it would be greatly appreciated.

Eyesight Req for NROTC MO?
Hey guys,
Since I was a little kid I had amblyopia in one eye. One eye uncorrected is 20/10 (more than perfect) and the other uncorrected is 20/100 but only corrects to 20/70. Is this disqualifying for NROTC MO? I couldn't find anything indicating so for NROTC MO specifically.

3 Years Cancer Free Waiver
Hello all,
I'm a survivor of Ewing's sarcoma, a type of cancer and I am currently a freshman in college, and a cadet in AFROTC. I was diagnosed in April 2014, and finished treatment in January 2015. My tumor was very small, encapsulated, and no additional cancer cells have been found by any imaging after it was taken out originally in April 2014. It had lots of "favorable," characteristics, such as being very small, encapsulated, and not actually in my bones but rather between my skin and...

Is there a difference
Is there a difference from a remedial request and AMI. I also have two separate letters pretty much requesting same information but in different ways and wonder why I have two. One is from Bumed and the other is Dodmerb. I thought Dodmerb had nothing to do with waiver process. I know records are submitted through them for the waiver authorities review just wondering why a request for AMI is required by Dodmerb.

DODMERB kyphosis waiver process- advice needed!
Hello all,
I am planning on attending CU Boulder on a 4 year AROTC scholarship starting this coming fall. I am currently in the remedial process for 58 degree, pain-free kyphosis. I talked to DoDMERB yesterday and they said that there is no chance the waiver will be reviewed/granted by the time I am supposed to head off to school later this month. I talked to the detachment cadre at CU and they said it is a fairly common occurrence for students to arrive with their scholarships on hold for...

Ortho-K Contact Lenses
I’m joining AFROTC next semester as an AS250 and have been told that I should expect do my DoDMERB next semester. I currently wear Ortho-K contact lenses and have been for the past two years. Is this a automatic DQ for AFROTC (The Academy website lists it as one) or should I stop wearing them now so I complete the 90-day waiting period for my cornea to return to normal?
For reference prior to Ortho-K my vision was around -3.25 or something. I’m also guessing my username should probably...

VSD
Has anyone ever been approved by DoDmerb for a VSD?
Recently got a remedial code R.100 asking for more information about the surgury and recent echocardiograms
Just wondering if anyone else has been through this process with a VSD recently.

Mild Tricuspid Regurgitation
Hi!
When I was about 13 I went to a pediatric heart doctor and got an echocardiogram of my heart and the doctor said I have MTR (mild tricuspid regurgitation). Does anyone know if this is disqualifying? I’ve read online that it is fairly common and usually causes no issues. I have had no problems with my heart and I don’t even know what prompted me to get the echocardiogram in the first place. All I have to document this doctors visit is a picture of my heart with some numbers and illegible...

Eczema DQ
Hi,
Does anyone have any experience getting a medical waiver for eczema? My DS has a 4-year Air Force ROTC and 4-year Naval ROTC scholarship (and we are waiting on the Army); however, he was just DQ'd by DodMERB for eczema! I am shocked, because the two times he's had eczema were so minor we almost didn't even note it on his DodMERB form! In fact, I don't even know that it was truly eczema, I think his skin just gets a little dry in the winter; now he uses moisturizing lotion and he...
