DoDMERB website glitch

Yesterday I tried to log in to my DoDMERB account but it kept saying I was entering the wrong username and password. I keep my username and password in a word document and I usually just copy and paste them from the word document into the site to log in and it lets me in, but yesterday it wouldn't. Did anyone else encounter this problem yesterday? I am fairly certain that I am not entering the wrong username and password because they have been saved in a word document that has been unedited...

Pre-Diabetes: is it PDQ?

I previously posted about hypoglycemia after being told that symptoms I have been dealing with were due to post-prandial (after eating) hypoglycemia. Since then I have had no luck at the symptoms subsiding and they continue to go uncontrolled. I recently had an A1C test that came back in the pre-diabetic range (5.7%). In all my previous fasting blood tests, my blood glucose levels have hovered around the high end of "normal."

I have been DQ'd for history of shoulder subluxation. Has anyone ever gotten a waiver for this/heard of someone receiving a waiver for this?

I have fully recovered from the injury and it happened last October, so a little bit less than a year ago.

Good Afternoon, My DS had his DoDMERB medical and eye exam in August. He was disqualified for Strabismus-esotropia. He is 17 years old and I had never noticed the condition. Actually, he has never been to an eye doctor in his life and the only eye test he has ever had was for his drivers license. I was shocked that after his eye exam that he has a lazy left eye. His vision is 20/20 with no astigmatism. He is currently Pending waiver review was all the academies. Is this condition waiverable?...

Just got an update stating pending waiver review by each academy for a latex allergy. Does this mean they are pursuing a waiver for me ? And I know it's dependent on the severity but are waivers normally given for latex reactions ?

I took my ds to his med exam this am- it was not far- no wait- all smooth- I am praying that doesn't mean the rocky road is about to begin.... Any advice on deviated septum's? I have asked before and called dodmerb and they were very helpful but basically said it was case by case. My ds got hit by a Bball in nose in 4th grade and the Drs didn't want to fix until he was older- we went when he was In 10 th grade to dr again because it was spring and pollen count was really high and a friend...

question on USNA waiver

Ds took DoDMERB phyical last summer was found qualified for USMA but disqualified for USNA pending a waiver for a color vision deficiency. We have known that he is Red-Green deficient but not color blind, because of regular visits to our own Eye Doctor. After receiving one of our congressmen nominations to UNSA, DS figured he would be sent for a FALANT Test passit and be qualified. DS checked his status on the DoDMERB site hoping to be sent for the test but found that his waiver was...

Very new to this... DD received "Qualified" DODMERB in Aug.
1. DD may have forgotten to include wisdom teeth removal surgery from 6th Grade in original DODMERB filing. Is there a way to check, is it necessary to mess with it?

2. She rolled her ankle training after receiving Qualified letter, saw doc, xray negative all clear after a couple weeks in a boot. Do we need to shoot any info to DODMERB?

IF DD is blessed with appointment would not be at I-Day till summer '16.
She has done...

Disqualification/waiver question

I posted this on the USMA page, and copied and pasted it here to hopefully get some insight.

My DS just received a disqualification from DoDMERB and his status says to stand by for Regional commander to determine if USMA will request a waiver. His application is complete. He has already turned in the nomination packets to the congressmen and waiting to have an interview. My question is this: at what point will the determination be made as to whether or not a waiver will be requested? After...

ANG Reserve PDQ Waiver Denied Now Trying AFReserve Waiver

This is for an officer appointment, no prior military experience. My waiver for "adjustment disorder" PDQ was denied by ANG Reserve. I am now applying to go through MEPS with AFReserve and have not yet filled out the questionnaire. I have already disclosed my PDQ and plan to list that I saw a counselor years ago. However, are the two forms going to be compared? How much will AFReserve look into my waiver process with ANG? What if through gathering documents related to another answer...

Protein in Urine

Just joined the forum and boy, wish I'd known enough to talk to my son sooner. He works out daily, is a two sport athlete (soccer and swimming), lifts weights and is preparing for the CFA. He hydrated before the physical today but not to the max and he worked out yesterday. The physical by CONCORDE went great except for the fact dr. wrote that he wears retainers at night (I wouldn't think that would be a problem) and that he had protein in his urine. So, from my reading of prior posts it...

Alright, so serving in the military has always been my biggest life goal. I cannot begin to express how much it matters to me. That being said, the DoDMERB has me very worried. Four years ago, I started having episodes known as "Confusional Migraines." These lasted for a year, but only a year and I haven't had one since (I had 3 events.) I stopped taking the medicine a month after and have since been fine. I am even in the best Future Soldier Program in our state and nothing has happened in...

Waiver Re-Evaluation Phase (Heart/Cardiology)

Hello,

Here's my situation: I was originally medically disqualified from AFROTC, b/c of "Palpitations with an unknown etiology" (Palpitations with an unknown cause) . Now thanks to my cadre, I'm still an active cadet since they put me in a reevaluation phase. The issue is now I'm a AS200, FT slots will be nominated in a few months, and this may be my last chance at trying to clear this DoDMERB stuff out. I believe since this is technically my 2nd waiver attempt, if they deny...

First off, I am not overweight by any means. I am a muscular guy who runs cross county that is 5'9". I weigh around 174 depending on the day. Does DoDMERB DQ candidates who are overweight? Whenever I go to the doctor, they weigh me with my clothes on and I ring in somewhere above 180. I cannot exceed that according to USAFA, but is that DoDMERB's job? I have not drunk anything since lunch today because my medical exam is tomorrow. Should I not worry about my fluid intake? Or should I try to...

Shoulder separation & DoDMERB exam

Son is applying to a military academy. All signs are positive for acceptance pending nomination and DoDMERB exam. DoDMERB exam is scheduled for the end of the month. Today, he separate his shoulder during a hockey game. He's yet to see a doctor - will do so during work week. Does he go forward with the DodMERB exam or try to push it back a few weeks? Obviously he'll disclose any diagnosis, but I can't see him passing a physical in two weeks.

ADHD waiver criteria

Hi there! New the forum...DS is interested in attending USMA and will need a waiver for his ADHD. He has the potential to be a recruited athlete so that might help with the waiver process. Anyway, I can see the disqualifying criteria for DODMERB and he'll get automatically DQ'd for his 504 plan and use of meds more than 24 months after his 14th birthday. My question is what is the criteria for USMA to consider a waiver. He's currently a Junior so if he were to go off his meds completely...
