DS received medical DQ mid January for Asthma. His status changed to "pending Waiver submission" and he was told by admissions that a waiver was requested. We contacted his Dr and was told he never had the diagnosis. Asthma as never proven just an inhaler for precaution after a hard workout in the cold. We shared that info with Dodmerb and its been quiet for almost six weeks. Is this normal? The anxiety for DS is killing me. He has a conditional offer. Any one with experience?

Hey all, I received my NROTC 4 year scholarship back in January and began my qualification process recently. Just today I was informed that I was disqualified with a pending waiver for esotropia/strabismus. This is really confusing to me because I had exotropia(which is different from esotropia) when I was 5, but had two corrective eye surgeries and my vision has been 20/20 since. Should I call about this or just wait for the letter to come in ? Thanks for any help

Is this normal
We sent a package to DoDMERB over a week ago. We sent it priority mail with signature. It was only 4 pages and we used the priority envelope. The package is still in transit. We are in Illinois. It should have only taken 3 days right or is it normal for a envelope to be routed through Puerto Rico on its way to Colorado?

Alcohol
I was recently awarded a 4-year Army ROTC scholarship and began completing the medical history survey for it. I admitted to have tried alcohol when I was younger. I specified I had a few sips of beer under parental supervision years ago and have not had or abused alcohol since, nor do I ever intend to. Is this a DQ?

Asthma/RAD questionnaire R252.13
DS had his DoDMERB exam back in January. When he checked his status middle of last month it showed a code of R252.13 and showed they mailed him a questionnaire for asthma, reactive airway, exercise induced bronchospasm on Feb 10. He still has not received anything in the mail. so he emailed them and was told he could download the form and send it back by snail mail, email or fax. The code said no doctor visit was needed. DoDmerb - Enuresis Confusion
My son had occasional enuresis as an adolescent, but it stopped before he turned 13 . On the Dodmerb questionnaire (Report of Medical History) that is filled out prior to Dodmerb exam, it asks if "YOU HAVE EVER HAD BEDWETTING AFTER AGE 12". So, of course my son will check YES. Dodmerb ADHD disqualification
This morning I was medically disqualified from West Point for ADHD. I have been off of my medication for almost a year now, have never had any additional accommodations for ADHD, have taken my ACT off medication and scored a 30, improved my GPA by .5 points off of the medication first semester of senior year, and have taken midterms without medication. DodMERB has DS listed as remedial:
R220.00 Provide copies of all medical and surgical records regarding right knee strain - Feb 2015
As was clearly indicated in the physical paperwork, he never was seen by a doctor, only the wrestling team trainer who advised he wear a brace for the remainder of the wrestling season to support the knee.
So there are no medical records or surgical records to provide, as he indicated and I mentioned previously.
What's the best course of action here? Visit...

Accutane after being medically cleared
Good morning. DS is medically cleared for both USAFA and ROTC. However, he wants to begin Accutane NOW – before reporting to USAFA (if he is admitted) or to college in the Fall. I have an opinion, but at this point only an opinion, about whether this would be problematic or not. Your thoughts please?

New Remedial Request
Hi guys, so recently I was contacted by DoDMERB stating they messed up while reviewing my info and are requesting AMI for a concussion. I already have waivers for USMA and USAFA. On my DoDMERB portal it only stated that USNA was requesting more info about the injury. So my question is, if I sent the AMI to DoDMERB, would this effect medical status for every academy or only USNA?

USNA portal update
I am probably over thinking this, but DS was DODMERB qualed in late July, but in his portal it is just blank in that section. His overall status is CPR. He emailed the academy to ask if this is normal on Monday, but so far no one has emailed us back. Is this normal?
