Urinanalysis Remedial Despite no abnormalities

I was put on remedial and so I called my tech to check to see what happened and I was told that I had too much protein in my urine and I had to take the test again. This was understandable because I took the APFT the morning of my exam.

So I retook the test and saw the results for myself, which indicated no presence of protein (literally says negative). The doctor who reviewed my results also noted there were no abnormalities whatsoever in the other fields (glucose etc).

Allergy and Acne disqualify me?

Hello. I have two questions. I have a pretty bad fire ant allergy where if I get bitten by one I get hives and my face swells up for around 5-10 minutes. Will this happen to disqualify me? In addition, how serious do they consider an acne problem for I have pretty bad acne, but never went to a dermatologist, so never was prescribed anything like Accutane. Thus, am I in the clear for passing the Dodmerb for these are the only things I have to say yes to. Thanks in advance.

What to Bring to Remedial Appointment

For the initial medical exam, I was required to bring a packet of medical information and history. Is this required for the remedial appointment? The doctor's office told me to bring it, but I can't seem to find it on my DoDMERB account.

I received my scholarship package in the mail today! I am very excited, and I know that my next steps are DODMERB clearance and passing the APFT. I like to get things done as fast as possible. I know that Cadet Command sends a DODMERB packet in the mail, however I have heard that the appointment can be scheduled online before the mail gets here. I sent in my acceptance paperwork via e-mail this evening. At what point will I be able to schedule my appointment? I have heard of the DODMETS...

AFROTC Broken Bone W/ pin

I am currently looking into AFROTC and it is my dream to be an Air Force officer and pilot. However, when I was 15 I broke me toe and had to have surgery. The doctor put a pin in to assist in healing. I have no limitations. Will this disqualify my from earning a commission and military service in general?

Dust...

I saw on the medical form a question specific to dust. I believe it was sensitivity to dust. Dust is an allergen for my DS. Not sure I understand the difference to sensitivity to dust vs checking yes for allergic rhinitis and listing dust as a trigger (allergies are well controlled with otc medicine).
Any advice? I figure the fewer "yes" answers the better so don't want to check yes to any more boxes than absolutely necessary.

I was granted a color deficiency waiver from USNA at the end of January. On my portal it states that Date Letter Sent - January 31, but I have not received anything yet? Should I have gotten something in the mail?

AROTC MSII: Torn hip Labrum questions

Hey everyone,

I'm currently a sophomore in AROTC on 4 year scholarship. Recently I began having pain in my groin area, had a MRI....turns out I have a torn labrum and my femoral head is starting to square off.
The doctor gave me 4 options...
Don't do anything
Cortisone injection
Platelet injection
Or surgery

I had the cortisone first and it decreased my pain by about 30-40%, but I can sure as hell tell it's there. I haven't ran on it yet since the cortisone, just stair stepper and bike....

I am applying for the NROTC MO scholarship and I plan on earning a commission as a Marine officer after I graduate. Only problem is that I have dislocated my shoulder about 4 times and my doctors are telling me that I need surgery to stabilize it. THERE ARE NO TEARS IN THE MUSCLES OR LIGAMENTS, the surgery is just to tighten the ligaments surrounding it. I know that having a shoulder operation can potentially disqualify you from service. My son has started the process of applying to the academies. He has worked very hard to achieve a high percentage of the required skills/scores etc. We recently took him to the Dr. for a simple toe injury (not the reason for this post) and were shocked when the Dr. (new Dr. never seen before) asked him, “how is your asthma”? My wife responded he does not have asthma. After reviewing the chart it appears when he was 7 years old his Dr. diagnosed a sinus infection (or so we think) as asthma....

Hi I am aspiring to attend the West Point School. I saw that if you have done drugs that is a DQ. Is Marijuana a DQ even if it is legal where you live? I have also done cocaine but not as much. I need it to get through the day. Should I just leave it off my DODMERB? Thank you advance for your advice
