“Back pain -DNMMS-applicant sought care of chiropractor from November 2018 until most recent clinical note for November 2019. Any condition of the spine in the last 2 years which required treatment greater than 6 weeks is disqualifying per DODI 6130.0.”
How waiverable is this?

I have been under waiver review since 11/7/19 and I am wondering how much longer it will take for them to come to a decision? Does this over a month wait mean that I am not likely in receiving a waiver?
Background information:
I dislocated my elbow in 2014 doing tumbling and had to get it reset. No surgery required and I have full mobility back.
I am a competitive applicant to USAFA. I completed my application by my November 1st deadline and I have two nominations from my senators...

I have applied for both West Point appointment and for Army ROTC scholarships. I just finished up my DoDMERB exams for West Point and realized that I may have to go through the process again for Army ROTC if I receive a scholarship. If I am cleared medically for West Point, will I have to complete the Army ROTC's DoDMERB exam as well or are they the same exam?

My daughter received a DQ for asthma. She was diagnosed at 3. She is 17 and her asthma is not an issue. She had some issues with a cough due to cold in 2018, but was not hospitalized and it cleared up. We provided medical docs from 2003 and now found out she has a remedial for scoliosis. Does this mean she has two issues that need to be handled or her DQ has been resolved and now a new one?

I have lived with OCD for the past 9 years and currently take Lexapro/Escitalopram for it. I read somewhere that if one does not take treatment/medication for 2 years before commissioning, they would no longer be automatically disqualified.
I'm considering talking to my doctor to see if I can ween off my medication. If I have no issues with the disorder after 2 years of no treatment, would I still be disqualified because of my history?

I am currently in the cycle of Dodmerb for USAFA. I received a single dq for asthma after 13th birthday. However, this was only because I was prescribed and inhaler as a precautionary measure for a trip to a third world country. I had my doctor write a note, and I wrote a personal statement describing the situation. The waiver authority requested my waiver but decided that a doctors note and my history as a varsity xc runner was not enough to grant the waiver and requested a methacholine...

Hello. My case file has been complete on Dodmets since 11/18/19. The website says that my file is complete and is being reviewed by a CIV team member. Does anyone know how long this process usually takes to get the files reviewed and turned into DoDMERB? Is it normal for dodmets to take this long? Also what does complete mean? Thank you!

Just a quick post to give everyone out there stuck in the waiver holding pattern some HOPE. Keep in mind, everyone's time pattern is different. My DD applied to both the USAFA and the USMA. She has an LOA for the USMA. She completed her DODMERB exam (both medical and optical) in the middle of Sept. and received a DQ for vision. USAFA requested a waiver by the end of September and requested AMI by the beginning of October. AMI was submitted by the middle of october, and she received a waiver...

I thought I read somewhere that AMI testing was supposed to be performed by a provider within a 60 mile radius of home. I can't remember where I read that though! Concorde assigned a provider that is 83 miles (1.5 hours one way) away. This is a burden as DD is dual enrolled in the university full-time and has limited availability. It's looking like she may have to schedule 2 days of appointments. One for the testing and one to meet with the MD, although she won't know until she calls...

Hello, I have a question that I would like a answer asap. So on the 28th of October I recurved as stated on dodmerb a single dad with 5 codes listed in another post. I have had my usafa completed since 11/10 with cfa and evauktor done just need a nomination. Can anyone with exprenbin dealing with usafa tell me if it would be appropriate to send a email to usafa counselor asking if their is any update on aossiblity for a waiver? Thank you

Currently, I have an LOA to USAFA, pending nomination and medical qualification. My problem is that I've been DQ'd for shoulder dislocation that happened
last month.

I have scheduled a surgery for around the end of December. After surgery, I will have to do rehab and physical therapy to build up my strength and stability. Doctors have said that I could probably get cleared for activity about

My DODMERB account is saying my password is incorrect even though I know it is not becasue I logged in yesterday. My portal for one of the SA’s is also saying my password is wrong. Has anyone ever had this happen, do I need to reset both accounts? It seems odd that both would stop working at the same time.

My daughter had a remedial, provided AMI information, then medical disqualification. Status changed to Under Waiver Review. No it’s blank. Doesn’t even show her name - just SSN. I am assuming this is a glitch however wanted to ask if anyone has seen this before.

I have completed everything on the application for USAFA, USMMA, and USCGA except for the essays (which I'm working on, I just want them to be as good as possible before submitting). My question; is DodDMERB supposed to contact me for my medical examination? Or do I contact them? And do I need to complete a medical examination for each academy that I am applying to, or will I only need to complete it just once (therefore encompassing all academies)? DS is applicant to USNA, AFA, USMA & NROTC-MO, AFROTC, AROTC. Has been awarded AFROTC type 7, has been re-boarded to march for NROTC-MO (was told he was slightly beat out at boards and would be more competitive at the March boards), awaiting AROTC boards in late DEC. Has been admitted to all of principal colleges with academic scholarships. Has had one Senator nom interview, we know he was put on a slate for USMA at Congressional nom interview and is awaiting date for 2nd Senator nom...

My son, as expected, just got two DQ codes for history of cataract (caused by eye injury in 2011) and history of (intraocular) lens implant (to resolve eye injury). Just posting to let folks know how quickly the process has moved so far. Though there were some missteps within USNA or DODMETS getting the process launched in a timely manner upon application file completion, I am impressed that after DODMETS exams of Oct. 1 and Oct. 8th, the medical reports (or least the later one) was...

DS received a remedial request for pharmacy log dating back to 2014. Sent in requests to the 2 pharmacies I remember ever getting scrips for him I don't believe he has gotten any prescriptions for him after 2014. If they have no records for him from 2014 on to present, is that an issue? Any one had this happen? I'm thinking it's because he had childhood asthma....

I have never been diagnosed with anxiety. I had one panic attack 3 years ago - but this was never diagnosed. However, DoDMERB is asking that I submit all medical records regarding my anxiety (I was stupid and self-reported anxiety).
