So my current status is "Under Waiver Review" because I got DQed under: "D164.40: History of open or laparoscopic abdominal surgery during the preceding 3 months". Is there anything else I can do besides wait? I had already sent the AMIs: R251.12 & R160.00 ( Survey and all hospitalization records respectively).

AMI testing questions
I thought I read somewhere that AMI testing was supposed to be performed by a provider within a 60 mile radius of home. I can't remember where I read that though! Concorde assigned a provider that is 83 miles (1.5 hours one way) away. This is a burden as DD is dual enrolled in the university full-time and has limited availability. Acne

Remedial Statement
DD was requested to make a remedial statement regarding a condition(prefer to remain confidential) that would probably DQ her and we fear it may be non-waiverable as well. The remedial asks for when and how condition occurred, any treatment required, and any other pertinent information. How objective does this statement have to be? Is it possible appealing could help her case?

DoDMERB examination for USNA and NROTC
I have been cleared by DoDMERB for my USNA application, but now the NSTC (Naval Service Training Command) is asking that I be reviewed again to qualify for an NROTC scholarship. Can I just send the NSTC the medical evaluation letter I obtained for USNA?

Does "Waiver Granted" status mean I got the waivers?
Hello. I just checked my portal and it changed from "Under Waiver Review" to "Waiver Granted" (I needed two waivers). Unfortunately, they didn't post any correspondence or anything else and are leaving me guessing here. DoDMERB Technician is away from his desk, I'm guessing for Thanksgiving.
Does anyone know if this means I got both of them? I find it hard to believe they would write that status if I only got one waiver....

Son had his physical and eye exams November 9. Status still shows as "Awaiting Receipt of Initial Medical Exam." Is this normal, or is it abnormally long?

I just had some questions regarding this part of the DODMERB. I answered that I have a Shellfish allergy, but I have never had it diagnosed by a medical professional and the only symptoms are nausea. I have never used an EPI-Pen or anything like that.

Getting surgery while at the Academy
Over this summer I injured my knee at wrestling practice and needed arthroscopic surgery and because of that I am disqualified by DODMERB because it was less than 6 months ago, but I have full mobility back and can do just about everything I could prior to the accident. Asthma Remedial worries
I am currently deep into the process of applying for USAFA and have everything I need, including a nomination, and at this point all I have left is a waiver for the asthma I had as a kid. I have been told to take a methacholine challenge test in order to prove I don’t have asthma. I have been reading about the mct on the forum and it seems like a lot of people say it isn’t reliable. My son applied for the Naval Academy... he received a DQ today from DoDMERB today due to “back pain” episode in the last 2 years( D227.1).. in his first interview he stated that he goes to chiropractor. . he had submitted AMI remedial and all records showing only maintenance care and statements that he has no issues (he is a competitive swimmer and attended Summer Seminar at Naval Academy!
