Will I get Dq'd?

I had severe asthma as a kid, I was actually hospitalized when I was very young for it.

When I got a little older they found out that my allergies were what triggered my asthma. I haven't been to the doctor for asthma related causes in a LONG time, I'm medicated for my allergies and almost never have trouble breathing. But I read somewhere that a history of asthma can Dq you...? Is that true? Even if I have grown out of it and can control it now?
